I updated a few days ago for the first time and a new update has been released today for the Memory Theme. I just want to know if there is going to be a way to automatically update the themes as opposed to the deactivate and delete and re-download? When I did it recently I had to re-apply the menu I built and re-add all of the widgets I already had in place. Am I doing something wrong?
You can implement auto update theme using this plugin https://github.com/envato/envato-wordpress-toolkit
I have an issue everytime I update. I did the most recent update step by step and when I re-activate the theme, some of the settings I had arranged disappear, like my banner image on the top, some menu items, etc. Am i doing something wrong here? Plus I had someone rearrange the order in which the page shows, so I have my featured image below the post title but when I do update it removes that as well and goes back to the default. Help!

I need to know how to update my theme, I am using Alaska version 1.3
what is the best way to do this, can I use an auto update feature?
please help, I have so many hours invested in this theme, I can not loose my work.
I’ve take a look at your site, seemed it working okay. If you wouldn’t mind providing me some screenshots, that would be helpful.
This manual may helpful for you if you wanna update theme without losing your works: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-update-a-wordpress-theme-without-losing-customization/
I had to restore to my backed up version.
The first picture is what happens when I update the theme.
The second picture is what it should look like.
Notice how the banner image is gone, the slider on top is not there and the menu font is different. I also tried this with making my child theme active and then when I delete old theme and download update and re-activate child theme does the same exact thing.
What do you suggest?

Is it possible to update from version 1.3 to current version using this: https://github.com/envato/envato-wordpress-toolkit
or are the steps at the beginning of this thread still the recommended way of doing the update?
thanks again for your help
One other thing that is different. I had some code changed and I moved the featured image below the category and post title. When I do the update that disappears. Please see screenshots.
Also, I put that code in the child theme and they worked fine but when I update the theme it disappears like I mentioned before.

I was just wondered if you have update plugins yet?
You can update it as these steps:
1. Activate a default theme.
2. Go to Plugins, deactivate ThemeStudio Shortcodes, ThemeStudio Post Types, Metaboxes and Delete it.
3. Activate back to Memory theme.
4. You’ll notice to Install that plugin, install it. Hope this helps.
